And the price is gentler than you'd expect for the warmth, welcome and quality. The food goes far beyond ordinary pub fare. The dishes are crafted with quiet confidence and make you want to linger over both the flavors and the moment. Inside, there's the soft hum of conversation, glasses clinking and a real sense of community. The hosts are bright-eyed and friendly, making you feel as if you've lived here all your life. Set amid the green countryside of West Farleigh, The Tickled Trout feels cosy, warm and impossibly inviting, almost like the countryside itself is giving you a hug. Hospitality done properly, generous, genuine and profound.

Esme and Noah, thank you for your wonderful hospitality and service. This pub is welcoming, family-friendly and great for babies too. The food is genuinely fresh, tasty and original. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

We stopped for a quick drink, then decided to have lunch too. Rob was friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain my wine even though he was busy. The Sausage roll tasted good, but at 8.00 it was the smallest we've ever been served, literally two mouthfuls. On the plus side, the Fish finger sandwhich was good.

Rob took our orders and brought our food and drinks over. He was an absolute star, answered our questions, and nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful, making us feel welcome even though my son uses a wheelchair. The toilets were immaculate, too. At first we thought the food was a bit pricey, but after tasting what we'd ordered, we all agreed it was well worth it. We each chose something different. A lovely experience all round, and we're definitely going back.
