The Old Inn

There were ten of us and a dog for Sunday lunch, and the staff were friendly and happy to help with everything. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and those big jugs of gravy were a real bonus. I even found room for the gorgeous apple crumble. We had a fantastic meal, and I'd suggest trying this pub if you're nearby.

It's open again and serving food. A cosy local pub with good pub grub available all day, and a nice place to stop for a pint. Kids and dogs are welcome too. I'd definitely recommend it.

We've been to this great pub plenty of times, and it's still a lovely spot for a drink. The food side is a different story for now: there's no chef, so don't expect the menu shown on the website. It's being managed by a relief manager while they look for someone to take on the full-time manager role or tenancy. I hope the food gets back to its old standards soon.

The rooms badly need some care, and the evening meals aren't appealing, with options like sausage and chips, scampi and chips, or just chips. There's no chef, so breakfast isn't available, but the website still advertises it as a B & B and hasn't been updated. I hope the pub eventually gets back to serving the delicious breakfasts and dinners it's meant to offer. Until that happens, I'd give it a wide berth.
