We spent a couple of days in the area and enjoyed ourselves largely thanks to this local gem. The staff were friendly and pleasant to chat with, and the pub had a great atmosphere. It’s conveniently placed and offers a good selection of draught beers and plenty of quality spirits. We also stayed one night. The room was very clean, well situated and furnished to a high standard. The mattress and duvet were both comfortable and felt top quality. The breakfast was so enjoyable, and the effort showed in both the choice and presentation, on a par with a high-end hotel anywhere in the country. Drinks, food and the stay were all top quality.

After a long, tiring hike near Malham Cove, this was just the place to relax. I had mulled cider, a chicken kebab with fresh pitta and chips. The portions were generous and everything tasted superb. The cider was warm and comforting, the chicken tender and full of flavour, and the chips crisp and satisfying. With the nice atmosphere, it was a relaxing way to end the day. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Malham Cove.

We really enjoyed our evening meal at the pub. Mel served us on Saturday night and deserves a special mention. Very professional and superb at her job, she’s a real asset to the pub. I don’t often write reviews, but she was excellent. Thanks for a great night.

We stopped for a drink and something to eat after our walk, and they made all of us, dogs included, very welcome. The food hit the spot and was better than we expected, so we’d definitely go back. The guy behind the bar loves dogs and was great. He really made the visit for us.
