We had a table booked for six, but a power cut hit the area just minutes before we arrived. The pub was so cosy with the fire going and candles lit, and they welcomed us in instead of turning us away. We could choose sandwiches or salad, and everything was good quality. Such a lovely, welcoming place. We’ll be back to try something cooked from the menu, unless another power cut gets in the way!

We go home tomorrow, but we’re going back for tea this evening. We’ve called in every day since our first visit and have had lovely food and a great time each time. On Sunday we hadn’t booked, but they found us a table for lunch and made room for our two dogs too. The menu is extensive, and the Sunday lunch was tasty and enjoyable. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the food prices are around average. Brilliant pub and hotel. Food is served from 8am, and they stop taking orders at 8pm. Definitely recommend.

It took us four tries to find a pub on the way back from Scarborough, and this one was meant to be! Gorgeous food, lovely staff, and beautiful surroundings. Absolutely brilliant. We’ll call again, thanks!

We parked our campervan in the pub car park for free. It’s good manners to ring ahead, and naturally you should use the pub while you’re there. The staff were wonderful and really helpful, the real ales were great, and the food was absolutely top-notch. Highly recommend a visit if you’re around Malton. 👌
