The Railway Inn

We only dropped in for Sunday roast, but it was fabulous. The meat was moist, the vegetables came in generous portions, and everything was cooked just right. Emma, the landlady, was really friendly, and the atmosphere made it a fun spot. We'll be back.

We've been back for Sunday roast several times, and it's always delicious and great value. The Sunday menu is more limited, but what they serve is terrific. The staff are super friendly, there's a good range of beers, and the views from the front are fantastic. Dogs are welcome too, so it's well worth a visit with your four-legged friend.

The bed was comfortable enough for a decent night's sleep, and the room was clean, but I came away feeling my £86 was wasted. I stayed one night in room 2 and considered moving to another hotel. The room felt cold, tired, and musty, with a slightly sickly smell, and the panel heaters hadn't been switched on. The towels looked very old too. The bathroom was worn and basic, with a broken toilet seat and an electric shower that only dribbled. The Wi-Fi came through an extender. It eventually let me do my work, but only after I spent 15 minutes resetting it. When I asked at the bar, they moved the main router closer to the window, though the connection still wasn't great. I didn't eat, although the food looked good. There's no breakfast, which is a shame because I think it could be good. The rooms need investment, and the welcome could be warmer.

I've been trying a different pub around Malvern each month, and this one has easily served the best Sunday roast. The food was superb for quality, presentation, and value, and the service was really friendly. I'd give it 15 out of 10. A must.
