City Gate Suites

Getting around was a bit difficult for me in my wheelchair. The step into the property and shower was high, and my chair wouldn't fit through the internal doors, though I could manage with crutches. The apartment was clean and comfortable, felt secure, and had a well-equipped kitchen. It's also an easy walk to bars, restaurants, and shops. We were missing an iron and the ironing board was broken, but a neighbouring apartment lent us what we needed. A very pleasant stay, and we'll book again.

The surrounding area is a little run down, but the accommodation itself was good. My one-bedroom flat had a bathroom, kitchen, and all the main amenities, with a nice setup. The apartments sit behind a gate, and there's free parking inside the compound. Manchester city centre is within walking distance.

The apartment was much nicer than I expected at that price, and it had everything I needed. The place is close to the city centre but still quiet and secure, so I'd come back for either work or a personal trip. The one drawback was how loudly the fridge in our apartment ran.

The rooms are small, more like chalets than suites, but comfortable. There's a gated courtyard where you can park, and the basics are good. The Manchester Arena is about a 10-minute walk away, with The Arndale shopping centre around 15 minutes on foot.
