DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester - Piccadilly

The breakfast had loads of choice and was absolutely delicious. The room was modern and new, if a little small, and the bed was very comfortable. We also got complimentary minibar snacks with our gold status. Check-in was quick and pleasant, and the staff even gave us cookies. It was my first stay here, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, though I’ve always liked Hilton and Marriott hotels. On the eighth floor, a connecting door to the next room meant we could hear noisy neighbours while sleeping. It could be handy if friends or family had the room next door. The bar opposite the breakfast buffet was convenient for drinks and snacks when we returned in the evening. I’ll definitely come back :)

Piccadilly station is right next door, which made it so easy to get around the city. Our room was spotless, modern, and comfortable, and the staff we met were helpful and professional. Check-in felt welcoming and seamless, with the signature warm cookie as a nice touch. A clean, reliable hotel in a great Manchester location. Highly recommended!

I was rushing to grab pastries from the restaurant before checkout, and Alvan kindly brought me a takeaway container, pointed out where the takeaway cups were, and took my luggage. His friendly help made a hectic morning much nicer. Thank you!

Blake and Mo are as nice as ever, and the rooms are still kept to a high standard. I did run into a problem, but it wasn’t enough to lose any stars. For Hilton Honors Diamond and Gold guests, a dedicated desk would be a nice bonus, as Hilton Deansgate used to have one. The library area at breakfast could be set aside for Diamond and Gold members, which would make things much quieter. I love the duplex suite, but 1030 is still my firm favourite.
