Dreamhouse Manchester Deansgate

I’d stay here again if I’m back next year. The apartment had all the amenities, including Wi-Fi and a full bath, and it was right downtown, close to tourist spots and restaurants. My only frustrations were having to contact management to adjust the apartment temperature and figuring out the shower water temperature by trial and error because there weren’t clear instructions.

The location works well for local shopping, but the apartment I booked felt worn out. Cupboard doors wouldn’t shut properly, there were cobwebs all over the bathroom ceiling and dusty air vents, and the bath panel felt unsafe and needed fixing. The coffee machine didn’t work, and the batteries in the TV remote had deteriorated. The beds had hard, very uncomfortable mattresses, and the internet connection was awful and unreliable. For over £700 for a week, I expected a few more comforts. Very disappointing.

The downstairs bathroom was falling apart, and the shower head wouldn’t stay on the wall, so it couldn’t be used. The place was tired and dirty throughout. When I tried to fix the broken bed frame, I discovered the mattress was incredibly stained.

Both times I stayed, I was given a free upgrade to a larger apartment. It was quiet and clean, and the location is handy for the train station and shops. You can get a great price when there’s a deal. I’d come back to Deansgate and will probably try their other apartments too.
