The location is hard to beat, and every receptionist we met was really nice. The rooms are small with no storage, but for this price they’re equipped well enough for a few nights. I liked the brick walls, and the AC worked well. We did wish we could open a window. Having a private bathroom is a big plus, though you’d need to be very comfortable with your roommate in a double room. The glass bathroom walls are partly clouded but still let you see through, and the door doesn’t lock. Instead of a handle, there’s a hole that gives a direct view between the toilet and the bed. We stuffed a towel in it for a bit of privacy. The walls between rooms are so thin you can hear someone on the same floor sneeze. Still, it’s a fair room for the price and the location is amazing.

The staff were lovely, and the location is really good, but the room was barely a step up from a cheap hostel in southern Europe. It still cost 130 for a night. The bathroom and shower were cramped and felt like a joke, and each bed had just one tiny pillow. The beds were about as comfortable as army barracks beds, so it was the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. I know it’s a budget hotel, but nearby places at a similar price were much better. At 30 a night I’d call it good value, but at 130 it’s a massive rip-off.

I missed having access to a hairdryer, but everything else worked out pretty well. The price was cheap, the location convenient, and the staff friendly. They even had free foam earplugs at reception, a nice touch in the middle of a busy city. My first night’s mattress was insanely lumpy. The staff moved me to another room for the next two nights without any fuss, and that fixed the problem. The beds are definitely hard, which I prefer to sinking into a soft mattress, though some people may not.

For an affordable night’s sleep, it did the job and was worth the price. The rooms were clean, and the front desk staff were pleasant. It’s centrally located and an easy walk to the train station. I wouldn’t choose it for a restful getaway, though. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbour flush the toilet, and the bed was rock hard and not good for sleeping.

My partner and I were happy with our stay, mainly because it was so cheap and right in the North Quarter, close to convenience stores, pubs and shops, all within a few hundred metres. We got what we paid for: a minimal, fresh room. The reason it’s affordable is pretty clear. The rooms and bathroom are tiny, the beds are rock solid, and the walls are paper thin. You’ll hear pretty much everything if someone nearby is getting intimate. The building also seems poorly put together. Our hallway looked as though ready-made hotel room boxes had been placed inside a decrepit old building.
