Hello Hotel

The rooms were clean and nice, service was excellent, and breakfast was simple and good before a busy day. We came in August and the room was boiling, though. Even with three fans, it was too hot, and the hotel could do with air conditioning. We would stay again.

This was our third time at the Hello Hotel, and the staff are excellent. The room was spotless, with a big comfy bed and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was very good, and Albert's Restaurant next door is great too. Couldn't rate it highly enough.

I've used this budget hotel on Manchester's outskirts many times because the price is usually reasonable and the location suits my needs. Recently, the rate had gone beyond what seemed fair for this standard of accommodation. When I checked for this trip, I was pleased to find it back at a reasonable level. Breakfast comes in a bag, which might sound off-putting, but the bacon and sausage bap is actually very good. Recommended if the price is right.

The carpets and bathrooms look like they've gone years without proper care, and even the bed sheets don't seem to be kept clean and changed regularly. The key-operated locks feel old-fashioned and inconvenient compared with contactless or digital access. It's a three-star hotel, and that shows. The owner seems to have put very little into maintenance or upgrades. With a Premier Inn and Novotel nearby offering more reliable standards, I can't see this place competing unless it keeps giving significant discounts. A real shame, because it has potential with the right care and investment.
