Hyatt Regency Manchester (ex.Crowne Plaza Manchester - Oxford Road)

The only letdown was reception, where the staff weren’t especially welcoming. The room itself was comfortable and well kept, and the hotel looks great inside. Breakfast had a good range and was excellent. It’s also in a convenient spot for getting around. We still had a great stay and I’d recommend it.

The hotel was brilliant, with tasty food and plenty of beers, wines and spirits at the bar. Every staff member we met was polite and welcoming. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and in good condition, so I’m sure I’ll be back within the year. Well done, everyone at the Hyatt. For parking, I’d suggest the aquatic car park, which was £13.00 for 24 hours.

There were a couple of things that made the room less restful than I’d hoped. The air conditioning could get noisy at night, and sound carried from guests on the floors above and around us. Light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. The room was comfortable and nicely presented otherwise. Dinner was good, though the service was off: my starter and main arrived together, and I had to ask them to hold the main until I’d finished the first course. The staff across the hotel were friendly and helpful, and cleanliness and presentation were up to standard. The location is convenient, with coffee shops and local amenities nearby. It’s an easy 25-minute walk to central Manchester, which suited us for exploring without staying right in the middle of everything.

The restaurant staff were so kind and helpful. Andrea was especially great with menu suggestions and tips on nearby places to visit. She also gave our daughter a drawing book and some colours to keep her busy. We were moving from Hyatt House to Hyatt regency, and they kindly arranged an early check-in. The room was a little smaller, but had all the amenities and services we needed for a comfortable stay. A very good experience, and thanks to the whole team.
