Breakfast was a real highlight, with something for everyone and very good coffee. The central location is perfect, and although the rooms are a typical size, they’re well equipped and the decor gives them character. The bathroom was good too, though the rainfall shower made it hard to keep water off the floor. I took off a star for the bar service. While I was waiting, staff seemed more focused on preparing for a Christmas party than serving paying guests, so it took a very long time.

We had a lovely, clean room with pretty decor, and the bed was really comfortable. The receptionist was helpful, and my partner was pleased to find Sky Sports on the TV. When we looked under the bed the next morning to retrieve our keys, we found a vibrator there. It clearly wasn’t ours, and it was a shocking thing to come across after such a nice night. We told reception when we checked out. They were surprised too and said they’d let housekeeping know.

The staff were so nice, our room was perfect, and we had a great time at the rooftop bar. On Christmas morning there was a stocking hanging on our door, plus champagne with breakfast. Such lovely attention to detail, and we’ll definitely stay here next Christmas. For the last 12 years, we’ve tried a different central Manchester hotel each year for my Christmas Day birthday. This time the hotel didn’t know it was my birthday, so I got to see what the usual experience was like. Thank you so much x

We went to the rooftop Japanese restaurant Sora while away for the weekend, as an early birthday treat for my boyfriend. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but Sora was just around the corner from where we were staying. The cocktails, food and views were all great. It had everything we wanted, really 😊

The room was immaculate and stunning, with great facilities. I’ll be staying here whenever I come to Manchester from now on. The communication before check-in was good too, and service on the rooftop terrace at Sora was top notch. I think the guy’s name was Scott, a top bloke. Thanks for making my birthday so special!
