Thyme Restaurant and bar are on site, and there’s a good buffet breakfast selection plus the usual evening meal choices. The meal deal can save you some money if you want breakfast and dinner. Rooms were clean, with free tea and coffee, and staff were friendly and eager to help. It’s easy to find just off the motorway, with parking on site for an extra charge and free newspapers in the foyer.
I had parking authorised and tried to register my vehicle, but reception told me there was no need until I left. I forgot, and Horizon Parking fined me £60. If you stay here, get your vehicle registered straight away and don’t take no for an answer.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially comfortable. Staff were friendly and check-in went smoothly. The only problems were a leaking toilet tank and the high car park charge of £14. Otherwise, it was a good stay and very convenient for the airport.
The vegan dessert was really good, and the menu looked very varied. I went to the hotel restaurant with a friend for dessert on International Women’s Day, since I work nearby. Maria served us with a big smile even though it was quite busy. She seemed calm and pleasant and helped us choose. We had a very nice experience and will definitely be back.
The accessible room had plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair, including in the bathroom, which had a walk-in shower. It was clean. The hotel is next to the airport, with a taxi service available for an extra charge. There’s a nice bar and restaurant on site, with a good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. Parking costs £14 per night.
