I normally choose Premier Inn, and this one lived up to expectations. The restaurant and bar staff were lovely at dinner and again at breakfast, and the food and drinks were great value. I stayed one night and was surprised how quiet it was, even though the hotel is next to a main road. The location is handy for the station, the university area and the theatre.

Breakfast was a real surprise, with a fantastic selection and good quality. I'd definitely add it, especially with the standard room rate being so cheap. I paid around £50 for a Friday night. The room was much bigger than I expected, with a sofa bed, and it was extremely clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. I'm not sure if that room setup is standard, since the woman at check-in seemed surprised there was only one of me. The hotel sits on top of a multi-storey car park, so rooms start on the 10th floor and have great city views. It's very close to Oxford Street train station and handy for the O2 Ritz. There were tea and coffee supplies in the room, plus more at reception, so you wouldn't run out. Reception also has vending machines for chocolate and pop. The only reason I'd take off a star for service was the self-check-in machines. The first one didn't respond at all. The second was sluggish and then said my room wasn't ready at 18:15. A staff member eventually appeared, looking like this happens a lot.

I've stayed here for work trips for the past three years, and the hotel has been consistently good. The staff are lovely, the rooms have always been clean and well stocked, and Ramzan is especially helpful. Breakfast has a good selection, and the restaurant has solid options for evenings when you want to stay in. It's about a 10-minute walk from Manchester Picadilly Station and close to the University. The hotel is a little removed from the busy city centre, but the main sights are still within walking distance.

I felt safe the whole time I was here on my own. You have to scan your key to use the lift and reach your floor, which made it feel very secure. The room was very clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and heating, a full-length mirror, a vanity mirror and a hairdryer. I couldn't hear the neighbours next door or upstairs. The hotel is close to the ring road, but it was still incredibly quiet. It's just outside the main centre, about a 15-minute walk in, and close to China Town and Gay Village. There were coffee shops on the way, and a Tesco express around the corner, with a coffee shop, bars and restaurants nearby too. The restaurant was decent, the pizza was delicious, and the woman who served me, whose name I wish I'd got, was lovely. A really pleasant stay. I'd recommend it and come again : )

The beds are amazing, and the rooms are clean and practical. I’ve been staying here regularly for the past three years while doing an apprenticeship through work at the University, so the location works really well for me. I also love seeing familiar staff and having a bit of breakfast banter with Ramzan and Mark. Every interaction has been great.
