Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester, Airport

The airport view from the 9th floor was lovely at night, and the room had good noise insulation. It’s about a 10-minute walk to MAN airport via the walkway. A few things didn’t work for us. Trying to book directly on the site brought up a 227CHF tax, so booking.com seems the better option. You also have to go to reception in person before ordering room service. We just went down to the restaurant instead, and the burger was warm and good. The shower pressure was so low I couldn’t rinse my long hair properly. We booked an executive room for lounge access, but food was only available at very restricted times. We don’t go to a lounge for chips and booze, so I wouldn’t book that category again.

The room was spacious, with a decent bed, and there wasn’t much noise from outside. I only ate at the restaurant for breakfast. The choice was limited, but the view over the airport apron was great. The hotel is very handy for the airport. The connecting bridge to all terminals and the train station is on Level 3.

Gotham in the Executive Lounge was incredibly friendly, a real credit to the Radisson. We had a very pleasant stay again, in an Executive room with a runway view and lounge access. The walkway connection to the airport made getting there easy.

We booked an executive room with lounge access for the night before an early flight. The skywalk was a big reason for choosing the hotel. We checked in at dusk with our luggage, then had a five-minute walk to the terminal. The room was good, and sitting and watching the runway view was lovely. The executive lounge was a relaxed place with a great view, snacks and drinks included. A really nice start to the holiday. I’d do it again, flight times permitting.
