St Anns Square Apartments

The bedroom was excellent: a good-sized double bed, spotless, with fresh bedding and nothing out of place. It was very comfortable. We also found all the cooking tools we needed in the kitchen. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, showed us to the room, then showed us around the apartment and explained where everything was. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. We'd happily return to St Ann's Apartments, also referred to as St Anns Square Apartment, and I highly recommend them. Mrs Z Siewert

We got an extra GBP 80 charge after checkout. When I phoned the manager to ask about it, he insisted a pillow was missing, even though I told him we'd left all the pillows on the bed. Be careful with the low rates, as they may come with extra charges for supposedly missing items. We booked in December for a March stay because free parking was included, but a week before arrival we were told it was no longer available. Around noon when we arrived, we went to unload our bags and couldn't get in because nobody was there. It was raining, so after waiting outside for a while, we came back later. Getting to the apartment meant taking a lift to the third floor, then going down several short flights of stairs and through doors, which was very inconvenient with our luggage. I regret not checking the reviews before we stayed.

I was back in Manchester on a follow-up business plan with two friends, and we chose these apartments again for a two-day stay. This time we had Sapphire on the first floor, with a view over the square. It was as nice and clean as the one we stayed in last time. The reception staff were kind, and I'd recommend this place to anyone after a nice, all-in, feels-like-home short stay in central Manchester. Rob

Avoid these apartments. They're unsafe, damaged, and a very poor experience. The photos must be old because the apartments didn't look as shown. Furniture was broken, the glass table was shattered, decorative items were broken, all the lightbulbs were missing, and the iPad and music provisions didn't work. There was faulty wiring too, and a member of my group got a very strong electric shock. The website claims there's a 24/7 concierge, but that's untrue. Customer service was completely nonexistent. I tried contacting them several times before our stay and got no reply. After the electric shock tripped the fuse, I called the 24-hour number on the website. They said they'd call back the next day, but they never did, and they didn't answer my calls or emails over the following two weeks. I strongly advise staying elsewhere in Manchester for better quality and a safer stay.
