The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was a decent size. There’s fast Wi-Fi and laundry facilities too. Staff were friendly and happy to help, and the location made getting around Manchester really easy. I’d recommend staying here.

Sleep was difficult because noise carries all over the building. The rooms are cramped, there’s no air conditioning, and mine hadn’t been cleaned properly. I found the student accommodation noisy and uncomfortable, and wouldn’t recommend it.

There are only two weeks left, so I’m trying to be patient, but it’s hard to live comfortably here even though the staff are kind. My room is very old and has a lot of problems. The toilet leaks, the sink is moldy, and the bed springs have sunk and dig into the mattress. We were told the beds had been replaced, but that hasn’t fixed this. The fan blows dust everywhere, and they treated the dust as normal. Water is leaking through the ceiling too. I reported it, but they said it was concrete and couldn’t leak, and asked me to take a video next time. You can see the ceiling changing colour.

The flat is spacious, and all the facilities are convenient. What makes iQ feel like home, though, is the people. We’ve known the manager Lowina since 2018, and Garth and Joseph on the maintenance team are great. I love Teddy, Bonnie and Natalia too. They’re all kind, supportive and considerate. I’ve lived here for five years, and it’s the best place I’ve stayed in Manchester. This is my last year in UK, and I’ll keep the good memories forever.

There’s loads to do here, with a free gym, bowling alley, cinema and games room, and the location’s handy too. The station is right outside, the town centre is next door, and the universities are about a 15-20 minute walk away. My room is spacious, the beds are comfy and the bathroom and shower are decent. But when I moved in, there were scratches on the wardrobes and desk, the bathroom door was badly shattered at the bottom, and there were odd stains on the window. The main problem is the kitchen hob. I’ve reported that it doesn’t work several times and nothing’s been done, so for the past few weeks I’ve had to use a friend’s kitchen two floors above. At £250 a week, I should have a working kitchen. I’m in my first year at university and honestly don’t know how to feel about the place.
