The staff are really helpful and often go out of their way to sort out whatever problem you have. The rooms remind me of custody cells. If you get one where the TV works, it's not too bad.

We were here for six weeks, me, my mum, and my siblings, and all of us ended up with bites. One of us developed a severe skin infection and needed hospital treatment. There were rat traps beside the beds and holes in the garden. Our food was taken by other residents, and some staff were vile and intimidating toward residents. Police and ambulances came most nights, and people on drugs were outside doing what they do. This place is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't give it any stars if I didn't have to. It's not suitable for single people, let alone families.

The back, neck, and shoulder massage was good. The staff were friendly when we arrived and took us through the formalities, and the afternoon tea service was pleasant, though very slow. The cleanliness elsewhere was awful. In the changing room and shower area, there was dust on equipment, hair in the sinks, discarded tampons on the shower floor, and the toilets needed attention. The pool had hair in it, a dark tied mark all around the waterline, and black bits across the floor. The jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna were similar. Dust and hair had gathered in clumps on the floor, there was debris outside the relaxation room, and used cups and towels were left inside it. The afternoon tea area was also in poor shape, with bits all over the floor, including a chip. I refused to sit there. It seemed more care went into the gardens than the interior.

There were about seven rats that I saw altogether. My baby has insect bites now, and he nearly ate a rat trap. It's an awful place for families and it breaks almost every human right there is. For your safety and wellbeing, stay away. There are also lots of people on drugs or just out of jail.

We booked one double and one single room, but the single was only a deep window ledge in the double, separated by a curtain. A step stool was provided to climb into it, and it was just about big enough for a short adult. Sleeping right beside the window was disturbing, with rain beating against it all night. The room looked clean, but the duvet wasn't enough for winter and there were no extra blankets.
