Travelodge Manchester Upper Brook Street

I felt safe here in an unfamiliar area, and the friendly staff were always willing to help. The hotel is doing what I need it to do. The rooms are basic but clean. Dinner last night was good, while breakfast was just okay.

There are bars and restaurants nearby, and the location is good. Parking cost £7 for 1 night. Check-in was quick, though the staff seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. The room was fairly clean, but had a few carpet stains and a noticeable sewage smell in the bathroom. It was very small with only basic amenities. I definitely wouldn’t stay again.

It’s clean and tidy, I slept really well and breakfast was good. A perfect budget hotel for my visit, with easy parking and an ideal location just around the corner from my daughter’s place. I’ll stay again next time I’m in Manchester to see her.

The room was clean, tidy and functional. It’s basic, but gave us what we needed during the 2 nights we’d booked while a relative was admitted to Manchester Royal Hospital. My wife and I don’t drink brews, so we brought a cool box with juice. At reception and the bar I asked if there was any chance of ice to keep it cold, and they brought out a full bucket straight away. The staff kept topping it up during our trip and were always glad to see us and help. Complications meant we had to stay an extra night. By then we’d got to know the staff, and their concern and empathy felt genuine. The hotel is a stones throw from the hospital, with bus stops close by in both directions to and from Manchester, and plenty of parking. It’s an ideal place to stop. We both want to thank all the staff. They clearly cared. Hopefully we won’t need to return, but if we come back for a leisure visit, we’ll stay here again.
