The location was lovely and quiet, with a secure car park, and we really enjoyed our stay. We tried both the guest house and one of the caravans over the last couple of weeks, and liked both. They were warm, well equipped, and the cleanest rooms and caravans we’ve ever stayed in. You can tell they take real pride in the accommodation. Breakfast had loads of choice and was really good. In the evening, guests can use the breakfast room to eat takeaway or a microwave meal, with plates, cutlery, and a microwave ready to use. There are also takeaways and pubs nearby. Emyr deserves a special mention. He’s such a welcoming host, remembers guests’ names and little details, and takes time to chat over breakfast. We’d love to come back.

Tracey made me feel welcome straight away, and at breakfast her husband Emyr greeted me like an old friend. They couldn’t do enough for me. The breakfast was fantastic and cooked just right. I could only get a single room, so it was a bit small, but it had a queen size bed and everything I needed. Even the fridge was so quiet I didn’t hear it once. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in the area again. Highly recommend it.

I was in Mansfield for a course, and after each day it felt like coming home to The Bridle Guesthouse. The area is quiet and idyllic, though there aren’t any shops or places to eat within walking distance. There are plenty of food choices about a 10-minute drive away, including a large supermarket. Emyr and his wife Tracy made my six-night stay comfortable. They’re kind and helpful, and although they don’t serve dinner, they let guests use the dining room for food bought elsewhere, with plates and cutlery set out for takeaways. My room was huge, the toilet was clean and spacious, the heating was sufficient, and there was always hot water. Breakfast wasn’t included in the booking I made through an accommodation platform, so I paid £12.95 each day for a generous meal. I was told direct bookings get a discount and breakfast included, so that’s what I’ll do next time.

We brought our extended family to the Bridleways Guest House around this time last year, and I’m only just getting around to writing this. They handled our dietary needs really well, without making a fuss about it, which stood out after places where it’s been made into a big deal. The accommodation suited us perfectly, and the location is excellent if you enjoy walking. Highly recommended.

My room was clean and lovely, and I was greeted so warmly. It’s a beautiful guesthouse, and breakfast was very nice too. I’d definitely stay again.
