The Godolphin

We were there for dinner, not staying at the hotel, and chose the Valentine's sharing menu for our evening out. The seafood main was a generous, wonderful selection, though a couple of dishes were not very hot. We enjoyed the meal anyway and didn't want to make too much of a fuss. The starter was three small fish cakes, an odd number for two people sharing, but very tasty, and dessert was lovely too. Staff were incredibly helpful, with a warm welcome from the bar team and the man at reception. The cocktails are fantastic and there's a comprehensive wine list. Food choices were very good, and there's also a Valentine's menu. We're locals and come here quite a bit, and usually have a great experience. The slightly cold food is the only reason I'd take off a half star. We'll hopefully be back for cocktails soon.

We felt at home from the moment the Hotel Manager greeted us like old friends, and the staff kept checking that everything was all right and going out of their way to help. Our Jubilee Suite was spacious, spotless and had a lovely balcony overlooking the Mount. On Sunday evening there was a choice of roasts, along with other options from the main menu, and the food was faultless. Breakfast started with cereals, yoghurt, croissants, toast, preserves, grapes and delicious high-quality fruit juices while we waited for a cooked breakfast, with plenty of choices. We live just 20 minutes away in Camborne, but won't hesitate to stay again very soon. Thank you.

The Jubilee Suite was great, with a lovely balcony and great views. The restaurant food was very good, and there was a reasonable choice of wines and cocktails. Staff gave us a warm welcome and farewell and were excellent throughout our two-night stay this week. We'll certainly return next time we're in the area.

The Godolphin made our anniversary dinner feel special. We’d spent our honeymoon there in 2015, and came back for our 10th wedding anniversary. A note we’d added to the booking was read and acted on, which was a lovely touch. The staff were warm and attentive without hovering, and the relaxed, striking setting made the meal enjoyable. We loved the food, and the wait between courses felt just right. We’ll be back well before another ten years. Thanks!
