The staff were helpful and friendly, and the portions were a good size. I stopped for a meal while camping nearby and found the menu huge, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. The pie and mash specials looked so good; if I were staying longer, I'd have returned to try them. The food was excellent, and I wish there were a place this good near me.

The staff were so kind and knew their stuff, always smiling and happy to answer our questions. When they ran out of ham, the chef kindly made us something off the menu to apologise. He was friendly too, and what he prepared was excellent. We ate here this evening and the food was amazing, unlike anything we'd had before. I'd definitely recommend this place 👌

We've only recently moved to the area and have eaten here twice, once in the evening and once for Sunday lunch. It's a friendly local pub, good value, and the food was nicely done. The staff are lovely, and so are the other customers. The wines are especially good value. My only small gripes were that the homemade chips weren't appetising and the roast potatoes could have been crispier. I'd recommend it.

We booked for Tuesday after finding on Monday that they weren't serving food. The landlord and staff were lovely, really welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the meals let them down badly: we both ordered pie and mash, but they were awful and we barely ate any. It's a shame, because the people are so nice, but the food needs to improve.
