Everything felt welcoming, cosy, warm and clean, and the cottage had what we needed. The enclosed garden with its sitting area was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. It’s ideal for walking, with beautiful views. The local shop, pub and tea room were all excellent. We’ll book again.

Tealby was perfect for a family break, with the village and its walks, a pretty thatched pub serving very good food, and Cleethorpes only 30 minutes from my original home town. We’ll recommend Clematis Cottage to relatives who need a place to stay for family events around Cleethorpes. The cottage itself was one of the best we’ve rented, and we stay in at least three four star cottages around the UK each year. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with comfortable beds, a modern bathroom and the bonus of two toilets. Street parking was readily available, and there’s a lovely little tea room with a garden next door. I can’t comment on the Lincolnshire goodies because we didn’t receive any. The fresh flowers were dead sunflowers, though I understand the owner is currently unable to prepare the cottage personally because of an injury. All in all, we had a wonderful experience.

We had such a relaxed, pleasant stay in this delightful, cosy cottage in the Lincolnshire Wolds. It was super clean and well equipped. Nicola communicated brilliantly and looked after all our needs. We’d love to return and can definitely recommend it.

We’ve just booked our fifth year at Clematis Cottage for July. It’s a lovely base for anyone wanting the British countryside while staying close enough to a city. Tealby is a charming village with two fine pubs, a tea room and a village shop. Sunnyside Farm store is just two miles away, with some of the best cuts of meat and produce. Rupert and Nicola, the hosts and owners, are absolutely superb.

My step sister and brother in law have stayed here for a couple of separate weeks each year for several years. Their regular stays come with perks, including cheaper rates and vouchers for local places. They find it very comfortable, with a fantastic shower room, though there’s no bath.
