The rooms were clean, nicely presented and had a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delicious too, especially the poached eggs, and there was a good choice of juice and cereal. We didn’t eat dinner there, though the food I saw being served looked appealing. The staff were so friendly, owner Bradley included, that I’m happy to give this pub B&B full marks, which I don’t usually do. It sounds like a lot of work has gone into bringing the place up to standard. Like most pubs these days, they need to earn money from food. If there’s one thing I’d change, it’d be the bacon. And with the country getting warmer, air conditioning in the rooms may be needed eventually. Wishing them every success 🙌

It’s a lovely, quiet place even though it’s near a fairly fast road. The food was great, the staff were friendly, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed. We also had a spacious shower with excellent water pressure, always a bonus. Getting there without a car takes a bit of planning. You can walk or take a bus, but it isn’t especially easy, so I’ve taken a star off the location rating.

We had a really fantastic birthday break here, and both my husband and I loved it. We stayed on 15 April 2026. The room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and a large TV that I could actually see properly. The shower room was well equipped with a quality sink, shower and shelving. The shower was roomy enough that my husband didn’t have to crouch or squeeze in. Breakfast each morning was very good, locally sourced and well cooked. We also ate dinner here, and the food was perfect. They took my severe orange allergy into account, which is a constant nuisance for me. Since I’d mentioned my birthday, they put a little firework on my dessert that evening. Such a thoughtful touch, and I really appreciated it. While we were here, we visited a local hall, the hillside animal sanctuary and the beach near Cromer. All of it made for a lovely experience. I’d definitely recommend staying here and eating here too. Thanks to everyone at the Plough Inn for making our stay so good.

The bedroom was huge and very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. It did feel a bit like a dumping ground for chest of drawers, but the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. We stayed for dinner, the night and breakfast. The food was excellent, and the staff were warm and welcoming. A very good stay.

A real gem of a find. We had room 5, which was spacious, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient, and both dinner and breakfast were amazing. The location is handy for the Norfolk broads, Bure Valley steam railway, just a 5 minute drive away, and National Trust properties, around 10-25 minutes away depending on which one. We’ll definitely come back.
