Greg, the Robin Hood manager, came to our rescue when a local restaurant cancelled our Christmas night out less than an hour beforehand. He found room for seven of us, all dressed up with nowhere to go, and the chef stayed on to make us a delicious, nicely presented meal. The service was first class, and they really helped us through a difficult situation. We’ll definitely return. Thanks again!

Sunday dinners are smashing here, and the adult meals are just as good as the kids' ones. The bairn loved the whale and chips, and the kids' burgers are spot on. The bar staff are magic, and even the chefs say hello when you pass the kitchen. We love this pub and the food is fantastic. It’s usually busy, so book ahead. We’ve never stayed overnight, but would definitely recommend it.

Dan went above and beyond to get our room ready early so we could get sorted before a wedding at Vallum Farm. We’d asked for an early check-in because the wedding was at 12pm. The room was immaculate and warm, and the full English breakfast the next morning was beautiful. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We stayed last night and would definitely recommend the Inn for an overnight visit. Thanks again!

The pub serves good beer and food, and everyone we met was friendly. We stayed in one of the several detached rooms behind the main building. It was clean and in good condition, though the beds felt a bit springy. Otherwise, I’d give the room five stars. A great hotel for a Hadrian's Wall walk.

We popped in for a quick drink on Sunday, but the welcome at the bar, the staff and the atmosphere were so lovely that we stayed for another. First visit, and we’ll definitely be back. Five stars all round.
