Six of us stayed over New Year and had a lovely time. We could walk to a couple of restaurants and two or three pubs, with more places in town about ten minutes away. Parking was easy, even with three cars. It was too cold to use the garden, but it looked well equipped and seems like it would be great in summer.

After exploring, we loved coming back to the hot tub. The cottage is close to the town centre’s shops and cafes, with beautiful walks nearby too. We did the Lumsdale Falls walk, which had both waterfalls and interesting history. Inside, the place was nicely decorated, dog-friendly, and had a large kitchen that worked well for cooking and spending time together. A relaxing Peak District getaway. I’d recommend it and would love to return.

The butchers cottage is a lovely old place with lots of character, and the hot tub was one of the added luxuries. We had a superb stay, with a great property and location and fantastic hosts. We’re already looking at booking another visit this year. Thanks so much for having us!
