I went for a carvery today, and the meat was lovely. The vegetables had been cooked with real flavour instead of just being boiled and served, and the staff were fantastic as usual. It was a fair price too. The potatoes could have been crispier, if I’m being picky. I’ve been to the merrymoor plenty of times and always enjoy it, especially sitting outside in the summer sunshine. I’ll keep coming back, and I’d urge others to give it a go. Looking forward to next time.

I had lunch here and really enjoyed the roasted pollock, which I’d happily recommend. There’s a lovely view of the beach and sea, and the pub is dog friendly with plenty of space between tables for dogs to lie down. A nice extra is that the desserts are homemade, unlike the packet ones served in a lot of pubs.

We had the loveliest weekend at the merrymoor, and the room was spotless. The pub has a great atmosphere, and all the staff were terrific. Being vegan in the countryside can be a pain, but they handled my needs with kindness and no fuss. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a great birthday weekend!

The food is lovely, and they’re great about allergies, taking them seriously and keeping things safe. As usual, all the staff were kind, upbeat and really helpful. Fantastic service.

We had lunch with some friends, and the staff went above and beyond for the birthday girl. The fish finger sandwich was hot, tasty and amazing value, and the service was great. The food was good too.
