The nearby pubs served really good food, and the little shop had everything we needed, including plenty of Cornish-made treats. We also found several family-friendly beaches close by. Poldhu was especially beautiful, almost like somewhere tropical, and the beaches were all about a 15-minute drive away. The cottage was freshly decorated and furnished, and the setting was gorgeous. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. Fresh eggs and delicious homemade bread were waiting for us. My son made the most of the heated pool and well-stocked games room, and loved having free Wi-Fi too. Our dog enjoyed the country walks and dog-friendly beaches nearby. It was a great mix of relaxing and keeping busy. We can't wait to return!

Mawgan Stores is only a three-minute walk away, with all the essentials. We got what we needed there, including tasty bread, ham, and vegetables, and didn't mind paying a little extra to shop locally. We didn't try the Ship Inn, though it's closed Sundays and Mondays. For burgers and shakes, Boo Koos in Helston was fantastic, but book ahead. We spent four nights at Cove Cottage during Storm Dennis in 2020, and had a superb stay. It was cosy and just right for the three of us. The owners gave us space, while still being available for questions, which suited me perfectly. They left a welcome pack with eggs, butter, milk, tea, coffee, and marshmallows. The eggs from the Glebe Hall hens were delicious. The beds were really comfortable, and good quality towels were provided. We liked the cottage's quirky character and looked forward to coming back after exploring. There are about a dozen beaches a short drive away. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wished it could have been longer.

The small kitchen was packed with everything we needed, and the village shop was amazing. There's also a great pub opposite the house. We enjoyed the local walks and the beaches nearby, and loved St Ives. The extra touches made the cottage feel special. It was clean when we arrived, with lovely bedding, milk in the fridge, and tea and coffee. The homemade bread and eggs were a treat, along with marshmallows for the fire, plus dog towels and biscuits. Our son had a great time swimming in the pool in April and hanging out with his mates in the games room. Bertie and Sian were lovely and cheerful, always happy to help. Go stay, we're planning to come back next year.

The walk to Trelowarren and on to Gear Farm for pasties was a favorite, and Mawgan is lovely, with lots of beaches and walking routes nearby. Sian and Tobias were wonderful hosts. They made us and our dog feel welcome and took steps to help us feel safe during that strange time. They also shared plenty of recommendations for places to eat and visit. We stayed in Cove Cottage for a perfect week. It was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with two good bedrooms, a lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and a decent-sized bathroom. The cottage came generously stocked with milk, eggs, homemade bread, and other essentials. We were so sad to leave. Thank you, Sian and Tobias!

Sian and Tobias have such a laid-back way about them, and it made us feel instantly welcome and relaxed. The pool and fire area were lovely, too. We had a wonderful holiday in the gorgeous Gunwalloe cottage. It was beautifully furnished and decorated, with everything we needed. Both the bed and couch were really comfortable. There was butter and milk in the fridge when we arrived, plus Tobias's heavenly bread, eggs, marshmallows, and more. Such generous, homely touches. We can't wait to return.
