Avalon Cottages

We stayed a week in Oak, the three-bedroom cottage, and would happily book again. It was clean and warm when we arrived back from days out, with plenty of parking. We didn't try the sauna. The owner checked in with us to make sure everything was all right. We also ate well at the Chinese restaurant and Elaichi. Thanks for a great holiday, see you next year.

Bring a couple of pound coins for the sauna, it's worth it. Everything else is included in the price. The owners were absolutely lovely and helpful, and the place was much better than I expected. It's a really quiet retreat, with first-class accommodation and everything to hand. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. Sorry, I only took photos as we were leaving. Visit Avalon cottages, they're spectacular!

The willow cottage had everything we needed for self-catering, and the setting was lovely and peaceful. It was clean too. We did have one problem during our stay, but Alan came straight down and fixed it. The sauna in the cottage was a nice touch. Just a heads-up, there were no towels provided, though I may have missed that being mentioned. We'll definitely book again this year. Thanks for having us.

Evening entertainment and a bar aren't nearby, the closest options are about a 10-minute drive away. That suited us fine, as we wanted a quiet holiday. We spent two weeks in a one-bedroom cottage and found it really nice, beautifully clean and very comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
