Studios At Glenthorne

There's a bus stop right outside, and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the bus station or train station. It takes me exactly 10 minutes to reach the train station. Parking is okay, with spaces usually available on the road in a quiet, safe cul-de-sac. The room has everything you could need, and the owners are always ready to help. It's easily the best accommodation in Merthyr. Martyn

Claire, the owner, always goes the extra mile to make sure the stay is as good as possible. The rooms are great and the service exceptional. I plan my work schedule around when this place is available.

The owner gave us a warm welcome and some suggestions for places to eat. Our room was beautiful, and the Welsh cakes left for us were a lovely surprise. It's fairly easy to walk to the High Street, where everything is. And if you're a man looking for a haircut, you'll find several choices along the street, you'll see what I mean. Highly recommended.

I've stayed here three times now, and it's always clean and comfortable. It's a quiet area, close to the town centre, though the walk into town is a little uphill. The trip back is an easy downhill walk. They leave thoughtful extras too, like bottled milk, water and Welsh cakes.
