We'd definitely come back if we're nearby again. The room was wonderfully quiet, and the price was amazing. We stayed in the Clarkson suite, which was decorated really well and spotlessly clean. There was a big TV, a smart mirror and a shower that took us a minute to figure out. It even had a little cubby for bottles, so they didn't have to sit on the floor. The bed was nice, and the pillows were very soft. My boyfriend would've preferred firmer ones, but I loved them since hotel pillows are rarely this soft. Good selection of tea and coffee, too, with a full-size kettle instead of the tiny ones that only make half a cup. Would 100% recommend!

We had a fantastic stay in Mexborough at The Embassy Building, and we'd recommend it to friends. The drive from Surrey took 3 1/2 hours, but we'd happily stay again if there was an act on that suited us. We came for The Rod Stewart Tribute Show and stayed in the “Oliver Suite” in the Embassy Building. The building was beautifully decorated, and our room was spotless and inviting, with luxurious decor, bed linen, towelling robes, beautiful towels and lots of thoughtful extras. We couldn't believe how much we got for the money. We've stayed in plenty of hotels in the south, some very expensive, and none came close to the Embassy Suite. At first we felt a bit apprehensive about the area. After parking, one of the men involved with the building kindly checked we'd parked in the right place and asked if we were comfortable with the digital entry system. The bar and ballroom staff were fantastic, especially Jemma, who was really attentive. Everyone was great.

The evening was incredibly enjoyable, and everything was run in a friendly, well-organised way. Brian Blessed's varied stories were so entertaining, and I was glad to have a chat with him. He even remembered acting with one of my aunts at Mexborough Theatre Guild early in his career. What a fantastic 'Evening with Brian Blessed'.

We booked a seated table for the Great Pretender evening on Friday 14th November and had a superb view of the stage. The show was brilliant all the way through, and we were still buzzing the next day. I hadn't ordered food for the interval, but asked if there were any spare portions and managed to buy a delicious pepperoni pizza. It went down a treat after a few drinks. There was a bit of a queue at the bar, though everyone was happy and friendly, so it was fine. I’ll definitely see what’s on in future and come back.

A proper traditional events space, and there are too few of those around. We had a great evening watching John Archer and Roy Walker. The event was well organised, the staff were brilliant and friendly, and the food was good with great prices. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll stay in their rooms.
