Dunster Castle Hotel

We had a separate entrance for our room, which was really handy with our dog, and there were comfy beds, tea, biscuits and fresh milk. John also cooked breakfast just right in the morning. The Sunday roast he made was top notch, and he even did a little separate roast for our dog. We love our food, so that was a treat. John gave us loads of helpful information when we arrived and made us feel right at home. We had a spur of the moment getaway with our other dog and ended up having the best night away at Dunster Castle Hotel. John and Lisa were lovely hosts, clearly passionate about the business and generous with their time for each resident. The food was beautifully home cooked, and it was very dog friendly. We'd love to return.

Lisa pointed us towards some local restaurants, which really helped make our anniversary stay feel special. The village location is superb, just a short walk from the castle. John and Lisa were wonderful hosts, our room was beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. They even left us an anniversary card, a lovely touch. Thank you so much ☺️

We had a great four nights here and will definitely come back. John and Lisa were so welcoming and friendly.

Dunster is a gorgeous village, and this hotel is a real gem. We only stayed one night, but I'm glad we picked it. The roast dinner was the best home cooked one we'd had in years, and very reasonably priced. John is a star in the kitchen, while Lisa was warm and friendly at front of house and remembered everything we'd mentioned. Our small double was cozy, with lovely decor and thoughtful extras like biscuits and sherry. The rooms throughout are beautifully designed, and there's secure free parking at the back too.
