We booked five weeks ahead and checked that they served Sunday lunch, but when we arrived at 1 pm yesterday, they hadn't got our booking. The dining room was empty, so we were still able to get a table. The only Sunday lunch option was chicken, and they had just one portion. We ordered drinks, but there was no lemonade. The garlic bread portion was tiny, like something I'd give a two-year-old. The chicken was nice, but the vegetables were tasteless and seemed possibly to be frozen. The Yorkshire pudding was the Aunt Bessie's type. The dessert we wanted from the menu wasn't available either. They could only make black or white coffee, with no latte or cappuccino. There were only two other tables occupied. Altogether, it was very poor.

The island setting is beautiful, with lots of good walks reachable on foot or by car. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere felt homely, and breakfast was delicious.

My fiancé and I stayed here during a road trip, and the service was excellent. We felt right at home, and the food was amazing. The manager was awesome and deserves all the flowers. We'll definitely book again when we're back in that area.

The sea view was lovely, and the location worked well for us. We could walk to Moelfre and to the caravan site where our daughter and her family were staying. The staff were friendly, but we didn't see much of them, and the bar wasn't open. The place could be amazing with some investment, but it needs a lot of TLC. The rooms were so dated that I gave them three stars, and sadly, the service was a two because there wasn't any.

The rooms were cosy and comfortable, and the view was amazing. The people were really nice and helped with everything. The food was fresh and lovely too. It was the best hotel I've travelled to, a 10/10 for me!
