The Sunday carvery was a real treat. The meat was cooked just right, the vegetables were nicely done, and there was plenty on the plate. Prices felt fair, and the staff looked after us warmly. We didn't stay at the hotel, but we'd happily come back for a meal.

We ate at 1.30, just an hour and a half after they begin serving at 12, and the food was already barely warm. When we mentioned it at the till, the girl there said the food sits out on the counter and gets colder as the day goes on. By that logic, the dinners would be frozen by 3.30. I've never heard such an excuse for cold food. The food itself was ok, but the whole experience was very disappointing and we won't rush back. Check your bill too, they tried to charge £7.95 for a can of soft drink.

My wife and I had a really nice meal, and we both thought the food was underpriced. The meal, wine and other drinks were all very well priced, and the service and food were excellent. Thanks to the owners and staff.

After a wet week riding our motorcycles, this hotel was a very welcome stop. We slept brilliantly in a super-comfortable bed, and the food was tasty. The staff were excellent. Many thanks.

The food was homemade, top notch and reasonably priced, and everyone working there was kind and helpful. My room was spotlessly clean, with nice linen, a really comfortable bed and a good shower. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this excellent family-run hotel and will certainly return.
