For a comfortable place to sleep overnight, this was warm, clean and great value, with free parking. The room was fairly basic, but the price was very good. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the stay better. I didn't try the Thai restaurant, though it looked and smelled fantastic, and several locals told me it's brilliant. I'll have to return for a meal. If you're after something fancy, this may not suit, but I'll definitely come back.

The place is dated, but comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. I missed that the entrance is round the back, with reception on the first floor up steep steps and no lift. My room was another flight up, so that's my fault for not reading the Booking.com description. The Thai restaurant on the first floor served fantastic food.

The rooms were clean, tidy and cozy, and there's a delicious restaurant downstairs with amazing cocktails. The gentleman who handled our booking was so welcoming and helpful, and even helped us store our bikes. Thank you very much 😊

The room was just right, and we felt very welcome at this friendly hotel. It's well located, with a short walk to the beach, shops and some lovely restaurants. If I'm back in Montrose, I'll definitely stay here again!

The Juniper rooms are right in the centre, handy for the shops and other places. Our room was fresh and very clean, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. There's a lovely Thai restaurant on site. We didn't try it, but the aroma was lovely.
