We booked a table for Valentine's night and ordered rare fillet steaks at £37.50 each. Our mains arrived as soon as our starters were cleared, just a minute later, and both steaks were medium. One side of mine was medium too, but the other was well done, so I went to the bar for help when nobody came to check on us. They apologized and offered to cook another. My partner ate his because he was hungry. Twenty minutes later, my replacement arrived blue, still not rare as ordered. After I complained about the first steak, the service at our table disappeared and we were avoided. Nobody checked on the new one. I prefer steak undercooked to overcooked, so I ate most of it, but by then I'd had enough and left some. When the plates were collected, I explained my disappointment and showed the blue steak. The waitress apologized and brought the bill as requested. We waited about 15 minutes to pay at the table, then had to ask. A different waitress brought the card machine, took the full £112 payment, and only afterwards asked whether everything was okay. For that price, I'm very disappointed with the food and service. Sadly, I won't return.

We chose this hotel because we were going to see a band at The Platform, and it's perfectly placed for a night there. Wendy was a warm, helpful host, and the room and bed were very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, with everything you need. We'll definitely come again. Thank you.

A friend recently introduced me to The Morecambe Hotel. I've visited Morecambe many times over the years but hadn't known about it. We had an enjoyable afternoon, with good service, tasty, nicely presented food, and a relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pub is spacious inside, with an outdoor area and a children's play area at the back. It's pet friendly and can accommodate wheelchair users, with toilet facilities for disabled needs. There are nearby pay-and-display parking areas. I can't comment on the hotel rooms, as I didn't stay.

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at the Morecambe Hotel. The starters and main courses were lovely, and they let us bring our own birthday cake and sing happy birthday. We'll be back.

The rooms were clean, nice and really comfortable, and the location is close to all the amenities. There's also Bingo for anyone who likes to live on the edge. On arrival, I got a big smile and a warm welcome. Hannah helped with my very heavy luggage and managed to calm all three of my kids. Claudia was a huge help with anything we needed during our stay.
