Really good food at this traditional pub. We tried the Barnsley chop and fish and chips, both absolutely delicious. Some dishes come in small or large portions, and the small ones in the photos are still ample. The homemade sponge pudding is to die for. Highly recommend, go for it!

We were out for a countryside walk and stopped at The Talbot Inn in Much Wenlock for a quick drink. We’d just had a light snack at a nearby café, so didn’t try the food. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the little beer garden was a nice spot to relax.

The room was comfortable for a one-night stay. It’s a little outdated, but fine. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice. I’d stay again.

The room was clean and really comfortable, and breakfast was a lovely meal prepared just for the two of us. The booking hadn't reached the hotel through Booking.com, but they got a room ready for us quickly anyway, even though we hadn't given them notice. We stayed one night and would definitely come back. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A great place to stay for a couple of nights while walking. The pub is lovely, the rooms are great, and it's well located. The food was marvellous, with enormous portions. Recommended.
