We stopped in on our way back to the Airbnb from cwrw llyn brewery and were so glad we did. The staff were all friendly and the service was great. I loved the creamy mushrooms, easily the best I’ve ever had. The fish and chips were delicious too, with perfectly cooked cod in a light beer batter. My partner ordered steak and pepper sauce dirty fries, and we both thought the sauce was beautiful, the best we’d tasted.

The hotel is right in the centre of Nyfen, about 10 minutes from the golf course. Rooms are modern, clean and pleasant, and there’s food and drink available in the hotel bar. Staff throughout were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty, too.

After a long walk with the dog, we thought we’d stop at the bar out back for a pint. Instead, the whole place seemed to stop and stare, and I’ve never felt so much like an outsider. We left without a drink and won’t be going back.

We called in for food at 7, but were told they were too busy to serve us in the beer garden. Nobody there was eating, and they only seemed interested in serving guests staying at the property. We’d already bought a drink before they told us. Don’t bother stopping unless you’re staying there.
