The countryside setting was exactly why I picked this place, and it suited my needs perfectly. It's a good base for sleeping while spending the day out exploring. The couple who run it were friendly and helpful, and I'd be happy to stay again. At first I wasn't very impressed by the look of it, but that changed. It's more like glamping, with basic facilities: a kettle, small fridge and microwave. The shower was fantastic, and I do love a good shower.

When I'm around Newark, I always choose Brecks Cottage. The welcome is warm every time, and the dog-friendly rooms are clean and comfortable. I travel with my dog, and the hospitality basket is hard to beat. Breakfast is lovely and filling, a great way to start the day. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area.

We had a brilliant few days here while dog showing. It’s compact, but had everything we needed, and if we did need anything, James and Amy were just a shout away. They were great with us and the dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year, James, if you’ll have us. Highly recommend xxxx. From Liz, Lynn, Suzanne and FI.

We stayed for two nights for our daughter’s wedding at floral media, and it was such a lovely setting. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was fab, and everyone was so friendly. Perfect from beginning to end.

The country walks at 3am were a hit with our kittens! We stayed in one of the apartments and it was brilliant. James was a very friendly host, and I’d highly recommend staying here.
