We stopped for a bed and breakfast while travelling around the area, and had a lovely time. The owner and team made us feel really welcome. Dinner was great and the service was excellent, while our room was spotless and suited us perfectly. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent too. We'd definitely come back.

The food was lovely, even though it was packed when we went in December. The car park's tiny, so arrive early if you want a space. The outside area looked a bit tired, but it was winter, and I imagine they get it done up for summer, especially the bit by the car park.

Really tasty food and polite, friendly service. My only regret was being too full to manage one of the puddings. I'll come back and try one soon.

We turned up without booking for Sunday lunch, but they managed to find a table for two. The service, food and quality were all fantastic. I've spent a lifetime in the pub trade and qualified for FBII, and my wife used to be a chef, so we're very grateful and will be back. We only came from Collingham, but what a find. Give it a try. Richard made us feel very welcome, and the Sunday lunch was excellent quality with generous portions. There were plenty of good choices on the menu, everything tasted delicious, and the service and value were fantastic. I'll definitely return and would happily recommend it.
