Grainger Apartments

The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, and the place felt unpleasant and unhygienic. The sheets were dirty, and the hallway smelled strongly of weed and cigarettes. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Don't waste your time or money here, for your own sake.

I come here regularly and always have a great experience. The staff are really friendly, and the rooms are consistently clean and very spacious. I'd recommend staying here.

We only spent the night because we arrived exhausted at nearly midnight, then left as soon as we woke up. The room was filthy, with black curly hair on the pillow, crumbs and bits over the carpet, and a sticky bathroom floor. The radiator didn't work and it was freezing. I felt uneasy leaving my car outside in what seemed quite a rough area. Staff barely spoke to me and didn't even ask how the stay was. Having to pay over the phone to someone else felt like a complete scam, so I've since frozen my card. Reading the other reviews, lots of people seem to have been charged huge amounts later, and it looks like they may be recording card details and using them again. Horrendous. Honestly, this review couldn't be low enough. Do not stay here.

The rooms were more spacious than I expected and had useful amenities, including a small kitchen facility. Everything was impeccably clean, which made the stay comfortable. I booked at the Grainger Hotel at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised that I could get a room at an affordable rate, which was a huge relief.
