Great North Hotel

My elderly mum has stayed here several times and feels safe and comfortable on her own. The staff are fantastic, welcoming, and know her by name. Her room is clean, comfortable, and very quiet. For food, there’s a choice of the restaurant or pizzeria. The pub is popular, but its noise doesn't carry into the hotel. Free parking and access to public transport too. Highly recommend.

We were a group of six staying overnight at The Great North Hotel in Newcastle, and the rooms were spotless, modern, and arranged next to each other. They even had balloons, a banner, and cupcakes waiting in my room for my 40th birthday, which was lovely. We had a deluxe double with a huge, very comfortable bed. The room had tea and coffee facilities, bottled water, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. The restaurants were good and clean. My husband is gluten free, and they brought his food separately from the buffet. We'd definitely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time we're in Newcastle.

I spent over a week here and had no problems. It's a modern, quiet hotel, convenient for the airport and metro. Check-in was easy, although at first I had a little trouble finding the registration desk from outside. The staff were fantastic, and the food at the dining places attached to the hotel was delicious. I'll definitely book here on my next visit.

The room was modern, clean, and tidy, with a practical layout. My only issue was the awful bed. I know hotels often push two beds together to make a double, but this one had a huge dip in the middle that you honestly couldn't escape from. 🤣 If the bed had been good quality, this place would be 10/10. Since I've seen other reviews mention the beds too, I don't think I'll stay again.
