Plummer House has spacious rooms, clean interiors, and everything seems well maintained. It’s a great student accommodation with friendly staff, a good location, and fantastic shared spaces. Highly recommended.

The staff made my stay memorable. Emanuel, Wahidulislam Raju, and the whole cleaning team were warm, helpful, and consistently went out of their way to make me feel at home. I really appreciated how professional and welcoming they were. I stayed in a studio at [Plummer house,Newcastle] last year. It was modern and well maintained, with all the facilities and amenities I needed for a comfortable, convenient stay. Cooking smells don’t hang around until the next day, thanks to the strong range hood, and the fresh air system is very quiet. The apartment is perfect, too: the windows open, so it doesn’t get hot in summer. Highly recommended.

The room was filthy and damaged when I arrived: dirty sink and surfaces, stained floors, worn cabinets, damaged furniture, a filthy fridge, and marked, stained chairs. The mugs looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned properly in months, and I found someone else’s hair in the fridge. It was revolting. The room had no windows, only ventilation through the oven vent. On my last day the electricity was shut off without warning, so I couldn’t even use the vent. It got unbearably hot, and I had to leave just to breathe. This has to be illegal in some way. I was in Newcastle for an important exam and didn’t have time to pursue complaints, but the disregard for guests was impossible to overlook. Room service entered at 9 AM while I was asleep, disrupting my rest after several exhausting days and violating my privacy. The female manager was passive aggressive and unprofessional. She tried to make me check out 12 hours earlier than advertised, then became very friendly very quickly when I showed her the receipts. Plummer House Newcastle was a disgrace from start to finish. Filthy, damaged, unhygienic, with no privacy or ventilation, rude staff, and basic facilities cut off without warning. It ruined my stay and nearly derailed my exam preparation. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. There are many better places in town for a short stay or a long-term student contract. Please don’t make my mistake and save yourself money, time, and hassle.
