We dropped in for an early supper on Monday with my son and his girlfriend. It wasn't busy, but felt homely, with a lovely fire going. The food was tasty, nicely presented, and good. We ordered a small ribs, seafood pasta, and scampi in beer batter. Staff were friendly and attentive, and there wasn't a thing I could fault. Dog friendly too 😊. We'd definitely go back.

The little things made the night: our coats and things were taken care of, and a spot beside the fire was saved for us. We hadn't booked, but the woman I think was the owner just asked us to let her know when we were ready. We wanted the pool table and had no cash, though the bar could give us cashback. The food and cleanliness were first class, and everyone was attentive, professional and welcoming. We had a brilliant evening here again, and I'll be back next time I'm in Newcastle.

We were at the harbour house on 29th and 30th April 2026, and would definitely stay again. I'm gluten free, so it was great to find such a wide range of gluten free dishes on the menu. Everyone was helpful and friendly, especially the two waitresses serving us, who knew the menu really well. The staff were first class. Thanks for everything.

The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely. We came in on Saturday evening for a family dinner, with eight of us in the party, and the service was impressive throughout. Looking forward to coming back.

After a hike we stopped in for food and a drink, and I'm surprised I hadn't found this place sooner. The food was incredible, cooked just right and full of flavour. The open fire is a lovely touch. I'll definitely be back.
