We were heading from Wirral to a funeral in Olney and stopped for lunch. Both meals were excellent, hot, and served quickly. Since it was such a hot day, we were in casual clothes and needed to change before the funeral. I asked whether we could use a room, and the lady immediately said yes. Many thanks for helping us out. We’ll definitely visit again when we’re next in the area.

This quaint little pub has apparently been here since around 1710. The staff were friendly and there’s a good choice of drinks. I didn’t eat or stay in the hotel, though friends have enjoyed the dining room. And if you’re susceptible to that sort of thing, there are resident spirits to meet 🫣

The electric car charger was included in the room price, which I loved. It’s a great value place to stay just off the M1, in a lovely quaint village. The pub is cosy, with a great wine selection, and the spacious rooms are nice. Breakfast was excellent too. Much nicer than staying in a hotel.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the freshly cooked food was very good, with generous portions. Breakfast was good too, with lots of options. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Lovely hotel, pub, and restaurant. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and we all enjoyed delicious, generous portions of food. Our family of 12 went for dinner on a Thursday before a wedding in the area the next day. They seated us at a long table just off the bar, with plenty of space and a highchair. Highly recommend a visit.
