Lilleshall House and Gardens

We’re definitely coming back next year. The house and gardens are beautiful, the rooms were great, and breakfast was good. We booked dinner in the restaurant, and it was well worth £20 for two courses or £30 for the three courses we had. I only remembered to take photos of the starters, but the meal was lovely.

The grounds are lovely, with plenty of space for a walk, and the staff were friendly. Our room was comfortable and airy. Finding the hotel was a bit harder than we expected, though; clearer directions in the blurb would help. It’s about four miles outside Telford, which suited us. Breakfast was woeful and extremely disappointing. The food was cold and served without care. The bacon and sausages had stuck together with congealed cold fat, and the eggs were rubbery. Toast it was, lol. At the current room rate, the breakfast alone is enough to stop me rushing back.

We’re getting married here in September and can’t wait. The architecture is delightful, and the gardens are beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking.

The hotel was hard to locate, which was the main downside. Once there, we had a good experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was decent, with a good variety. It’s a stunning place, and I look forward to visiting again.
