Jess and Juliette made us feel so welcome, and the service was incredible. We came in for breakfast, which was lovely, and the food was beautifully presented. Jess made us amazing coffees too. My partner and I will definitely be back soon :)

They even stayed up so I could check in late, which I really appreciated. The place was peaceful, and there’s a car park just around the corner. My room was spacious, clean and beautiful, with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast and service were lovely too. Thank you!

The gardens are stunning and the hotel has been designed beautifully. It’s close to lots of good local restaurants, yet quiet enough for a great night’s sleep. The staff were great, and breakfast was delicious.

The location makes a brilliant base for getting around the IOW. There’s plenty to see within walking distance, including Newport Ale House for a cosy beer, Siam Smile for fantastic Thai food, and Goose if you’re after speciality coffee. It’s also easy to head anywhere else on the island from here. We come back every time we visit, and I can’t imagine another place matching the atmosphere, decor, rooms and warm welcome Karen and the team give at One Holyrood. Breakfast is a must, with local bacon, sausage, eggs and Isle of Wight Tomatoes. If you’re here in summer, the gardens are a sheer delight too.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and nothing seems too much trouble. It’s a lovely privately owned hotel, with beautiful decor, a comfortable bed and plenty of lounge space. Breakfast was generous and perfectly cooked, and the coffee was excellent. Booking direct gets you 25% off ferries.
