We had a lovely lunch with a great view over the beach. It took a bit of time to get served at the bar, but it’s a dog-friendly pub.

A comfortable spot for a drink in town, with warm seating and breathtaking beach views. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and the pint was lovely as always. I popped in today and saw everything being set up for tonight’s Valentine’s meals. Dogs are welcome too.

I love the sense of space here, and the beaches stretching along to the harbour look fantastic. The view, lovely staff, good value and atmosphere make this my favourite place in Newquay. I’ve had a surprise birthday lunch with friends here, enjoyed a Shanty Evening, and celebrated my 60th birthday with dinner. Thanks, guys xx

The sea-facing location is fantastic, though clean windows would have made the view even better. I know keeping them clean must be a never-ending job. The fish and chips were excellent and the mixed grill was cooked nicely. I wasn’t keen on the pizza, personally, as its tomato sauce tasted artificially sweet, so I swapped it with my daughter. It was a bit expensive.

The staff were so polite and had a lovely manner, and the cooked breakfast was a treat with a nice view. It cost £11.50 and wasn’t huge, but the specifically local, fresh egg made it worth it for me. The yolk was golden and rich, running all over the plate. I dipped my bacon and sausage in it, then piled everything onto my toast. Wow, a really lovely breakfast. Sourdough toast would have made it even better, but I still enjoyed it. Thank you xx
