Griffin Newquay

I was catching a flight and needed somewhere for the night, and this worked perfectly. There was a full sea view, and I could walk there from the railway station with my luggage. Since it was Sunday evening, they even found me a table for the amazing carvery. I didn’t get to try breakfast because my taxi picked me up at the door at 6am.

The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. My partner and I left our key with the landlord at the front desk while we went surfing, and they were very accommodating. There’s also a nice bar and kitchen underneath the hotel. Down at the Great Western end of the high street, it’s an easy walk to Newquay’s main streets and areas. I stayed for a couple of nights in May 2026. It’s a good lower cost place to stay in Newquay, with a convenient location, a good room and an easy stay. The double room was spacious for a short getaway, with a good sized bathroom for two and a bed that was more than comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. I’d definitely stay again.

We went for Sunday roast and had a great meal. The service was fantastic and we didn’t wait long. It was really good value too. Highly recommended.
