We stayed recently with four friends in the five-bed private room. The room was good quality and had a gorgeous sea view across the golf course. The place is fantastic, with the town and beach both within walking distance. Owner Andrew is such a kind, lovely gent, always smiling. Great place and a great man!

I’d recommend staying here for a short surf trip or a visit to Newquay. We came with a group of 12 for the surf BUCS trip, and the location was excellent, just a short walk from the beach. The rooms were clean and came with fresh towels. Owner Ian was very accommodating.

The room was clean and had a lovely view of the sea and golf course. Andrew was really helpful, too. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes to Fistral Beach and the town centre.

I got a brilliant surf session thanks to the view from my room. One morning I could see the swell was much better than Surfline had predicted, so I pulled on my wetsuit and ran down. I was the first out at N-Fistral, while it was still quiet. This is my favourite place to stay for a surf trip in Newquay. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with all the amenities you need, and you can easily walk to Fistral, Towan, the town centre and local bars. I only wish it stayed open over winter.

The room and facilities were basic, but the bed and bathroom were clean. We had a fantastic west-facing view over the golf course and out to sea. At £44 for the two of us, it was almost half the price of anywhere else available, and that let us spend the £40 or so we saved while out and about in Cornwall instead of on fancy accommodation. Everyone has their own priorities, though.
